Harley Davidson went to an "Electronic Throttle" configuration at the hand grip in 2008 with their touring line up. They slowly began implementing this configuration (This Is Harley Davidson's Current connector type and began being used in 2016) and it has become common place for most of Harley's Bikes. Some love it, some don't, but eitherway "Throttle by Wire" is what is used for most Harley's!
