  • The "Formula" we use to determine what size Kit needed is determined by the "Total" Handlebar rise being installed

    For Example:

12" T-Bar, mounted directly to the trees = 12" Kit

10" riser, mounted directly to the trees, with a 2" moto Bar = 12" Kit

2" riser clamp, mounted directly to the trees, with a 12" Ape Style bar = 14" Kit

Examples of less common/in between sizes

9" riser, mounted directly to the trees, with the "Stock", 3.5",  Low Rider S/ST moto bar = 12" Kit

when your total Handlebar rise is a 1/2" above or below the available kit size, we round to closest available size...here round DOWN

NOTE: The Stock Harley Moto Bar that comes with the Low Rider S/ST is 3.5". Here our total rise is 12.5" so we round DOWN to get 12" for our Kit

9.5 riser, mounted directly to the tree, with the "Stock", 3.5", Low Rider S/ST moto bar =  14" Kit

when your total Handlebar rise is 1" above or below the available kit size, we round UP to closest available size

10" riser, mounted directly to the tree, with the "Stock", 3.5" Low Rider S/ST moto bar = 14" Kit

when your total Handlebar rise is a 1/2" above or below the available kit size, we round to closest available size...here round UP

NOTE: The Stock Harley Moto Bar that comes with the Low Rider S/ST is 3.5". Here our total rise is 13.5" so we round UP to get 14" for our Kit

Examples of bars and risers that have "Pullback"

Most, if not all, bars integrate some sort of "Pullback" into their design. The most common example will be at the grips, the bar will integrate 2.5" of pullback to bring the hands into a much more comfortable "Grip Angle", making the riding and control of your bike a much easier and pleasurable experience.

An example of this is an MX-T style bar with a 2.5" pullback grip angle. The bar is more or less straight, but "pulls back" at the grips.

Another common type of pullback will be integrated into the risers. This may be dedicated risers that requires a separate bar, or an integrated riser/bar like the MX-T Bar mentioned above.

Most examples of "PullBack" will not have any effect on the Kit Size you will choose, and will not need to be calculated into the "Formula". There are exceptions, but in general up to 2/2.5" of pullback in the risers, as well as 2.5" of pullback at the grips do not need to factored in.

An Exception to this will be any risers with pullback exceeding 2.5/3", or if the desired aesthetic of the Brake/Clutch cabling is to follow the lines of the risers. Here the cabling may be tie wrapped or attached to the sweep of the risers with a clamp of some sort. These exceptions will require the pullback of the risers to be calculated, but not of the grips

    For Example:

9" riser, mounted directly to the tree, with 3" of pullback and a 2" moto bar = 14" kit
